STARBREAKER: 'Lies' Video Posted Online
March 20, 2005STARBREAKER, the new project featuring TNT frontman Tony Harnell, have posted their video for the track "Lies" at Frontiers.it (MPG file, 30 MB). "Lies" comes off the group's self-titled debut album, due on March 21 via Frontiers Records.
Joining Harnell in STARBREAKER's lineup is Magnus Karlsson, the Swedish guitar master who revealed himself on three LAST TRIBE studio albums and most recently penned material for and performed on the massive LANDE/ALLEN studio project to be released later in 2005 on Frontiers Records. Also in the band is bassist Fabrizio Grossi, who is described in a press release as "one of the busiest producers in the rock world." Grossi has worked with the likes of Glenn Hughes/Chad Smith and Dave Navarro, HOUSE OF LORDS, Slash, Ice T/BODY COUNT, George Clinton/P-FUNK and played bass with a countless number of artists ranging from Steve Vai to Nina Hagen. Filling the drummer slot in the group is John Macaluso, who has previously worked with Harnell on TNT's "Realized Fantasies" album in 1992. Since then he has played with a number of acclaimed artists and musicians, including RIOT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and ARK.
In a recent press release, Harnell said, "I am convinced that this album will turn heads, shatter ears and crush hearts. This is probably the most special thing I have been involved with for years. it is a blend of traditional and contemporary hard rock/metal that has never been done like this before. It’s heavy, epic, majestic and hugely melodic. I am a big fan of this music — this is an album I would probably buy myself!"
